Chery Automobile Co. Ltd., is the ninth largest Chinese automobile manufacturer in China. It's a state-owned company which is based in Wuhu, China that was founded in 1997. Chery is known for making passenger cars, SUVs and minivans. However, in Pakistan, only the SUVs have been launched.

In Pakistan, Chery has teamed up with Ghandhara Nissan Limited (GNL) and started local assembly of two SUVs - Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro.

On 14 December 2021, the two SUVs - Chery Tiggo 4 Pro and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro SUVs were unveiled in Karachi. These two were officially launched on 28 March 2022.

Chery Tiggo 4 Pro - A 5-seater, subcompact SUV, Tiggo 4 Pro is currently available in one variant only - Chery Tiggo 4 Pro 1.5 DEX+

This SUV comes fitted with a 1.5L TCI engine which produces 144hp and 210 N m of torque. It is equipped with some modern comfort and safety features and is available in multiple colors, including Black, White, Red and Silver.

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro - Priced as a C-segment SUV, Tiggo 8 Pro competes with Fortuner, Oshan X7 and KIA Sorento. The bigger sibling of Tiggo 4 Po, this SUV comes fitted with a 1.6L Turbocharged engine which produces 194 horsepower and 290 N m of torque.

Tiggo 8 Pro is launched in one variant as well and is available in a variety of colors like Purple, Red, Black, White, and Silver. It, too, comes equipped with some of the most-modern safety and comfort features.

Chery SUVs will face stiff competition in the local market, but their price should make them competitive and attractive to buyers.
