Sazgar BAIC Pakistan: History & Overview

BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Company) is the 6th largest Chinese automobile company based in Beijing. The company came to Pakistan by a collaboration with Sazgar Engineering Works Limited. BAIC BJ40 Plus was introduced at that time and is still the only vehicle of the company in Pakistan.

BAIC BJ40 Plus BAIC BJ 40 is an off-road vehicle with a ladder-frame chassis. It was introduced in 2010 Beijing Auto Show and soon got involved in the controversy due to its resemblance with Jeep Wrangler style. The company later started its production in 2013. Currently, its 2019 facelift BAIC BJ40 Plus is being sold in Pakistan.

It has a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine that produces around 214 hp and 320 N.m. It has a 6-speed automatic transmission and a four wheel drive. BJ40 Plus is equipped with ABS, electronic parking brake, TPM, and many more features.

It is an off-roader with luxury and comfort as well. The interior of this SUV is a blend of black and red that makes a unique theme inside. It comes with multiple body configurations (detachable roof, windscreen, and doors).
