We are seeking a talented WordPress Developer to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of WordPress websites for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and custom development. You will work closely with our team to deliver visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly websites that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins based on client requirements.
- Optimize websites for performance, speed, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress websites.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Ensure websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and mobile-friendly.
- Implement security best practices to protect websites from vulnerabilities.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing WordPress websites.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer (portfolio or examples of previous work required).
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins.
- Experience with page builders (e. g. , Elementor, WPBakery) and custom theme development.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e. g. , Git).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a remote team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of REST API and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e. g. , SASS, LESS).
- Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
