Job Description:
Mexican Chilli's is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial closing processes.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
- Process payroll and manage employee benefits.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Manage stock in and stock out records – track inventory levels, record all stock movements (incoming and outgoing), and reconcile with financial reports.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are updated regularly.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ledgers.
- Adhere to company financial policies and procedures.
- Provide regular updates and financial insights to senior management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an accountant (minimum 2-3 years).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e. g. , QuickBooks, SAP, Peachtree, etc. ).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
