**Job Description:**
As a Truck Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching drivers to ensure timely delivery of freight and smooth operations. You will serve as the main point of contact for drivers and customers, managing routes, schedules, and resolving any issues that arise during the transportation process.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan and dispatch trucks for assigned routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor and track the location of drivers using GPS and other tracking systems.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, ensuring they have the necessary information for safe and timely delivery.
- Manage delivery schedules, resolve delays, and re-route as needed to meet customer expectations.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide updates on delivery statuses.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of driver hours, deliveries, and other logistics data.
- Collaborate with the fleet management team to ensure truck maintenance and safety standards are met.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation management preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of trucking regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
