Job Summary:
As a Fabric Trainee Officer, you will assist in the management of fabric sourcing, quality control, and inventory processes. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to build a career in the textile industry, providing hands-on experience and training in fabric properties, production techniques, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabric Sourcing: Assist in researching and identifying suppliers for various fabrics based on quality, price, and delivery time.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of incoming fabrics to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
- Inventory Management: Help maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and assist with reordering supplies as needed.
- Data Entry: Input fabric details into the company’s inventory management system and assist with the documentation of quality reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure that fabric selections align with project requirements and timelines.
- Training & Development: Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of fabric types, production processes, and industry trends.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on fabric usage, quality issues, and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of fabric types and properties is a plus.
- Experience: Previous internship or coursework related to textiles or fashion is advantageous but not required.
