The Tamgha-e-Pakistan, also known as the Pakistan Medal, is a commemorative medal awarded to Pakistani and British military personnel who served around the time of Pakistan's independence in 1947. .

Purpose: To commemorate service before and after the creation of the Dominion of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. .
Hierarchy: Fourth in the hierarchy of civilian awards, after the Nishan-e-Pakistan, Hilal-e-Pakistan, and Sitara-e-Pakistan
