Job Summary:
The Sweeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas. This includes sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the premises are clean and safe for employees and visitors. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to meet cleanliness standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sweep, mop, and clean floors, hallways, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
2. Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in designated areas.
3. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.
4. Clean restrooms and replenish necessary supplies.
5. Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met, reporting any hazards.
6. Assist with basic maintenance tasks as directed by the Facilities Supervisor.
7. Follow all health and safety regulations while performing duties.
8. Report any damages, repairs, or areas needing attention.
9. Perform additional cleaning duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in janitorial or cleaning services (preferred but not required).
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in performing cleaning tasks.
- Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment or supplies.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry cleaning equipment, trash bags, etc.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and walking.
