We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented store keeper to join our team and oversee feed preparation, distribution, and quality control.
Job Summary:
The Store Keeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring proper storage, and overseeing the handling of a wide range of items essential to farm operations. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure all inventory is accessible, well-maintained, and accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and organize items such as construction materials, kitchen supplies, animal care products, repair and maintenance materials, and agricultural items.
• Ensure all items are stored safely and securely, following proper storage protocols to prevent damage or contamination.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, incoming and outgoing inventory, and report any discrepancies or shortages to the Authority.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to reorder supplies as needed, ensuring there are no shortages of essential items.
• Manage and minimize waste, damage, or leakage of stored items by conducting regular checks and following best storage practices. Ensure items are rotated on a first-in, first-out basis to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keep the store area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Work closely with various departments, including maintenance, kitchen staff, and animal care teams, to provide timely support and supplies.
Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a storekeeping or inventory management role, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting.
• Basic knowledge of inventory software and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with handling construction, kitchen, animal-related, maintenance, and agricultural items.
