Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, possessing a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various accounting software platforms and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting tasks including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with accounting principles.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Manage tax preparation, filing, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide expertise in tax planning and strategy to optimise financial performance.
- Conduct audits, analyze financial data, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to manage reporting requirements.
- Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, MYOB, NetSuite, and others to manage financial data efficiently.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practices.
- Develop financial strategies and budgeting to support business goals.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, MYOB, NetSuite, etc. ).
- Strong understanding of tax laws and experience with tax filings and compliance.
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements, audits, and reports.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
