High Quality Components, Reliable Construction
Using the finest quality materials, the SZ-R1 has a precision machined microphone body presented in a striking blue finish, which is complimented by a polished Nickel grill and trim. The head consists of an internal shock mount for the ribbon and magnet assembly, giving extra protection to the ribbon. The microphone has a very solid feel, offering superb structural integrity and rugged reliability.
The included retro style shockmount is fantastic in allowing precise positioning of the mic, while reducing any unwanted vibrations and handling noise, which allows for a very clean and professional isolated sound.
Featuring a 42mm long ribbon made of 2.5 micron thick aluminium foil; this mic offers the natural and musical sound of a classic ribbon microphone. With an accurate sound reproduction, this mic has a vintage tone with a large and mellow sound quality, a very smooth top and an extended low end.
