A parrot is a brightly colored, intelligent bird known for its ability to mimic sounds and human speech. Belonging to the Psittacidae family, parrots have strong, curved beaks, zygodactyl feet (two toes pointing forward and two backward), and vibrant feathers in shades of green, blue, red, and yellow. These social and playful birds are found in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, particularly in South America, Australia, and Africa. Parrots are highly intelligent, capable of solving problems, using tools, and forming strong bonds with humans and other birds. Their diet consists of seeds, nuts, fruits, and occasionally small insects. Popular pet species include the African grey parrot, macaws, and cockatoos.
