Job Title: Hospital Receptionist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Hospital Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients and visitors at Hospital. As a key member of our front desk team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients while assisting with various administrative and clerical tasks to support the hospital’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
Answer and direct phone calls, providing accurate information and transferring calls as needed.
Schedule patient appointments, manage cancellations, and provide reminders.
Register patients, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate patient records.
Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and requests, ensuring a high level of customer service.
Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Ensure that patient information is accurately entered into the electronic health record (ERP) system.
Process incoming mail, packages, and other communications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality.
Assist with various administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and data entry as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with office software (e. g. , Microsoft Office) and familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
Compassionate, empathetic, and able to work well with diverse populations.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
