Description
Lovebirds are about 5–7 in (13–17 cm) long, with a wingspan of up to 24 cm.
Color
Wild lovebirds are usually green, but can have a variety of colors on their upper body. Some species, like the Fischer's lovebird, black-cheeked lovebird, and masked lovebird, have a white ring around their eyes.
Shape
Lovebirds have a short, blunt tail that is either round or square, and a large, sharp beak.
Lifespan
Lovebirds typically live 10–12 years, but some can live longer, with the oldest recorded lovebird living to be 17 years old.
Behavior
Lovebirds are known for their caring behavior towards their mates, and are monogamous, mating for life. They are social birds that form strong bonds with their owners, but can also be prone to nipping and territorial aggression.
