Description
A leading construction and earth-moving equipment company is looking for an experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer to lead workshop operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of the fleet of earth-moving equipment, ensuring that all operations run efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily workshop operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
Supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Develop and implement maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety in the workplace.
Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inventory management.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery to client.
Analyze workshop performance metrics and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Provide training and development opportunities for workshop staff.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar role within the earth-moving or heavy machinery industry.
Strong technical knowledge of earth-moving equipment, including Excavators, Bulldozers, and Wheel Loaders.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems effectively.
Familiarity with workshop safety standards and regulations.

Relevant certifications or technical training is a plus.
