Description
Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) is a lightweight metal pipe that is used to encase and route electrical wiring and cables in a building or structure. EMT conduit protects cables and wires from magnetic fields, impact damage, and crushing. Electrical metallic tubing (EMT), also commonly called thin-wall, is a listed steel raceway of circular cross-section, which is unthreaded, and nominally 10′. EMT is available in trade sizes 1/2 through 4. The outside is galvanized for corrosion protection and the inside has an approved corrosion-resistant organic coating. EMT is installed by use of set-screw or compression-type couplings and connectors. EMT fittings you need for applications connecting EMT Conduit to steel outlet boxes, metal enclosures, or load centers or to another run of EMT or RIGID Conduit. Some of these EMT Fittings include Connectors: Set Screw, Compression, 90°, Transition, Couplings: Set Screw, Compression, Transition, Bushings: Insulating, Elbows: 45°, 90°, Pull Hangers, Straps: 1 & 2 Hole, Drive, 3-Way, 4-Way Junction Box, saddles, Distribution Box etc.
