Description
The Cellacare Tarsotec Expert is a dismountable ankle orthosis and enables phase-specific support and mobilization. Distortions of the ankle are among the most common injuries to the musculoskeletal system. In the case of distortions or ligament ruptures, the first step in therapy is to immobilize the ankle with a foot bandage such as the removable Cellacare Tarsotec Expert ankle orthosis.
1st phase - immobilisation through high stability
In the acute phase of the distortion, the knitted part and the reinforcement shells on both sides are used
2nd phase - Beginning mobilization
depending on the type of injury can be treated differently
Remove forefoot strap, knitted part and reinforcement shells remain
Remove reinforcement shells, knit part + forefoot strap remain
3rd phase - mobilization + light support
Remove reinforcement shells + forefoot strap, knitted part remains
Cellacare Tarsotec - orthosis to stabilize and protect the ankle
Patented forefoot strap can restrict talus advancement in the event of a ligament tear
Removable reinforcement shells limit pronation and supination of the ankle to provide support
Slightly compressive knitted part promotes the regression of edema
Circumferential straps and heel strap fix the orthosis.
