We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented cashier to join our team and oversee feed preparation, distribution, and quality control.
Job Summary:
The Cashier will be responsible for accurately handling all cash transactions, tracking purchases, and maintaining cash voucher records for various operational supplies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cash management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple types of cash transactions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all cash in and out transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping for all financial activities.
• Handle payments for construction materials, kitchen supplies, animal-related items, repair and maintenance materials, and agricultural items, ensuring correct documentation for each purchase.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including cash flow, receipts, invoices, and expenditures.
• Prepare a cash voucher for each cash payment issued, record it in the cash voucher ledger, and ensure it is reconciled daily. At the end of each day, submit the ledger with your signature.
• Regularly reconcile cash on hand with records to ensure there are no discrepancies.
• Follow financial protocols, including cash handling and purchase processes, to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist with any inquiries from team members related to purchases, invoices, or transactions.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Cashier, Accountant, or in a similar financial role, preferably in bank and dairy industry or an industrial setting
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic accounting software or cash management tools like. Excel, Word
• Excellent organizational and record-keeping abilities.
