چوں حیات عالم از زور خودی است
پس بقدر استواری زندگی است
ترجمہ:
چونکہ کائنات کے وجود کے برقرار رہنے کا انحصار خودی کی قوت پر ہے (کائنات کی زندگی خودی کے بل پر قائم ہے) اس لیے خودی جس قدر مظبوط ہو گی، زندگی اسی قدر مستحکم ہو گی۔
Inasmuch as the life of the universe comes from the power of the self,
Life is in proportion to this power.
قطرہ چوں حرف خودمی از برکند
ہستی بے مایہ را گوہر کند
ترجمہ:
جب پانی کی ایک بوند 'خودی' کا حرف یاد کر لیتی ہے یعنی اس میں خودی پیدا ہو جاتی ہے تو وہ اپنے بے حقیقت وجود کو موتی بنا لیتی ہے
When a drop of water gets the selfʹs lesson by heart,
It makes its worthless existence a pearl
