Description
Position: Architectural Draftsman (Mid Level)
Experience: 4-5 Years
Salary Package: 55K-65K also depending on Experience.
Big Delta Associates Lahore is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsman with at least 4-5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and possess basic knowledge of SketchUp to export 2D drawings and elevations. Familiarity with printing settings, line weights, and sheet settings is required. The candidate should also be able to create, maintain, and manage AutoCAD CTB files, work with X-Ref and Layout Mode for page settings, and generate detailed working and construction drawings from sketches or reference images.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed architectural and interior drawings, including elevations and construction details.
Coordinate with Site Architect/Engineer to provide necessary drawings, resolve concerns, and incorporate feedback.
Maintain an organized and efficient file system for both old and new projects.
Perform occasional site visits (fuel provided) to gather on-site data for drawing preparation and updates.
Prepare as-built drawings from rough sketches or on-site observations.
Develop complete working drawing sets, including construction details for both architectural and interior designs.
Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Assist in managing and updating project files to ensure consistency across all documents.
Possess a basic understanding of structural drawings and the ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Ensure drawings are compliant with industry standards and company protocols.
Required Skills:
Expertise in AutoCAD.
Basic knowledge of SketchUp for 2D drawings and elevations.
Familiarity with printing settings, line weights, and sheet settings.
Experience in managing AutoCAD CTB files.
Ability to work with X-Ref and Layout Mode for page settings.
Ability to create detailed construction drawings and working drawings from sketches and reference images.
Basic understanding of structural drawings and their integration into architectural designs.
Experience working on interior drawings and interior elevations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills for coordination with site teams and project managers.
