Description
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Accounting Software: Familiarity with basic accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Wave Accounting. We are using web based customized software.
General Bookkeeping Skills: Ability to handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing payroll.
Financial Reporting: Capability to prepare basic financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports) for internal use.
Tax Compliance: Basic knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to prepare and file tax returns or work with external tax professionals. Experience is sales tax filing will be given preference
Other Requirements:
Understanding of Business Operations: Knowledge of day-to-day business operations, especially in industries relevant to the company.
Regulatory Compliance: Basic understanding of compliance requirements for small businesses, including tax filings and employment regulations.
Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to various roles or tasks beyond standard accounting duties, such as office management or HR-related tasks.
Basic IT and Office Skills: Familiarity with general office software (like Microsoft Office Suite) for managing reports and communications.
Experience:
2-5 Years of Accounting Experience. Knowledge of how small businesses operate and the ability to manage accounts with limited oversight.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Related Field: Minimum B. Com or similar.
A small business accountant often needs to be a "jack of all trades" and may be involved in broader business functions beyond just accounting.
