Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lahore
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
• Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
2. Inventory and Sales Reconciliation:
• Track and manage inventory costs, ensuring accurate stock valuation.
• Reconcile daily sales transactions and deposits for both branches.
3. Tax Compliance:
• Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax and income tax, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and implement necessary adjustments.
4. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts for effective planning.
• Monitor expenses and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
5. Banking and Auditing:
• Handle bank reconciliations and coordinate with financial institutions for transactions.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
6. Reporting:
• Generate periodic financial reports for management.
• Present insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
7. Collaboration:
• Work closely with branch managers and other team members to ensure financial policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in retail or pharmacy businesses.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (e. g. , QuickBooks, abuzar).
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and inventory management.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
